Necessities for Minimalistic Travel
As I oh, so joyously pack away my life in BC in preparation for a dreaded weekend filled of flights and layovers, I’ve come to the conclusion that I may have over projected my competence of being pretentious. This feels enlightening, as it merely means I am more minimalistic than I thought.
Though, I still obtain two vastly weighted suitcases filled to the brim of trivialities — not so enlightening or light in any sense.
Some cases were not even opened nor thought of whilst my time here. With this, I’ve come to know, undeniably, what is necessary vs. redundant for travel.
Travel Necessities
- The smaller suitcase
The greater one will merely tempt you into overpacking!
- Filtered water bottle
The collapsible ones are useless and leak far too often! When you arrive at your destination of leisure, filtered water bottle in hand, seeing there is no water other than from the sink will not come off as an immense issue.
I ended up purchasing a filtered water pitcher a few days in, which was also nice to have, but when I first arrived after a day full of constant maneuver, I truly just longed for a glass of water. The water pitcher also isn’t too ideal for light travelling.
