The world is full of terrible things to be feared, but there is also an abundance of beauty to be found.

This merely means that we should always be prepared for what may come our way in lieu of being paranoid of it, so we can give ourselves a chance to experience the beauty that life has to offer.

Tips for Safe Travelling

1. Don’t go out before or after sunrise/sunset

2. Be assertive

If someone is making you uncomfortable, it’s okay to speak up

3. Stay in areas where others are present

4. Stay alert and stay clear of distraction (ex: your phone)

5. If you carry a bag with you, keep your larger bills on you

6. Leave some cash and a card at your place of leisure as a back up

7. Mind your bag in crowded areas

8. Don’t give away too many details of your trip when asked by others

9. Walk with confidence

10. Listen to your body when it signals that there may be danger nearing

11. Dress similar to the locals

12. Don’t possess anything that makes you out to be an obvious tourist
