8 Self-Care Tips While Travelling
Our environment impacts us insidiously, and being far off from the familiar can easily take a toll on our wellbeing in various ways.
Even the most menial change in mere detail can impact how we respond and react to the world. Being aware of this stealthy act the environment tends to bestow upon us, I thought I were above being fooled. As countless other times in my life, I was wrong.
For days, I remained to my new home wallowing in my lethargic mind and body. I could not understand where this lack of motivation stemmed from. Coming from a place that is full of sunshine and warmth each moment to living in the complete opposite truly took my ambition for a ride, possibly drag.
I also encountered a few mental set-backs in which I truly felt mentally low and run-down regardless of the weather. Since then, I’ve been able to find a few things that has helped me and kept me out of this cunning rut.
Bring something that feels like home
I’m not embarrassed to admit that I packed a stuffed animal replica of my dog to have her with me everywhere I went…okay, maybe a little.
Though, it has helped when I felt completely lost/alone; I become reminded that I still hold everything I need to persevere within, that the feeling of home and comfort lies…
