When you remove yourself completely of all that is of the familiar, all becomes a blank canvas demanding modern color.

Within the past forty-eight hours since removing myself from the familiar of twenty-four years, I’ve come to find a few new colors to paint with:

  1. Support looks different from person to person
  2. Most people are good at heart, we are simply too quick to judge and in accepting these premature judgements as the truth
  3. Perceiving the world through a single dimension is insidiously self-destructive
  4. Taking a step back (or a few thousand ft. in the air) from a situation will show you just how menial it really is
  5. Reminding yourself how small you are in a great world is humbling and helps realign values
  6. All humans obtain akin chemical makeup, physical appearance and where one comes from does not create a barrier of difference
  7. When searching for a place in an unknown environment, pay the extra money for an Uber, cab, etc. to get to your final destination
  8. If you don’t have a car, order delivery for heavier grocery items (trust me, it’s worth every penny)
  9. We owe it to ourselves to follow our heart’s plan
  10. I want to live in a big city
  11. Coffee is just as good at night as it is in the morning
  12. When getting on a bus, find a seat and do it fast
  13. The “now and fast” mentality with obtaining is destructive in various ways
