Morning in April
Contrasted between a light beige of morning coffee against the burnt red of bricked wall
The mist that blanketed the bay as it rained a night unapologetic,
clarity and vibrance of the morning after
Gradual brilliance as the sun glances from hiding
piercing through the frigid air, filling me of brilliance too
Leaves varying in shades of green
Staggered vintage buildings
Smooth sailing as the flag waves gracefully,
the trail that follows
Curious morning walkers,
varying expressions I catch a glimpse of as they glare shamelessly
You can guess who I am
but you will be wrong
Wine colored leaves
Scattered daisies and dandelions of wishful wishes
Never lose the madness
I don’t remember taking photographs,
but I remember how the moments, then, made me feel
I’d like forever to exist on a balcony,
on a brilliant Sunday morning
Pictures are rarely close to the moments they capture —
